Read a few days ago on the FSC that Scotland have a new kit supplier, the German sportwear producer Adidas. In the comments, people are very excited about that, but worried about the new kit, more exactly that Adidas will gave Scotland one of the templates used in this year. So I can't get out of my head until I make this design for Scotland. It has a few inspirations: the flag, the 2007/2009 away kit from Diadora, and one of my previous designs (River Plate). I used white colar instead of round/v neck, because I want to give an ellegant look. In my opinion the national teams kits must look more sober and stylish than club teams kits.
An other variant of the home kit with blue short and blue scoks with red turnover.
The away kit follows the line of the home kit, can be used all white also.
The all white version of the away kit.
A third kit (or change kit) with red shirt and blue short and socks, re-editing the 1980-1985 years change kit. This one is made by a request.
Very nice indeed...I would settle for all three of these. I'd like to see the old Scotland round crest re-intoduced though, no need for a saltire underneath especially if they go with one below the back neck and incorporate one into the shirt design. Nice though!
ReplyDeleteGuest: I agree with Blue Bear - the old crest and a retro feel of the glory years(when Scotland still had heroes).
ReplyDeleteWell smart tops - good effort!
ReplyDeleteThey are all magic!!
ReplyDeletevery smart indeed
ReplyDeleteShame the real ones will not look like these.
ReplyDeleteI'd Buy 1st and 3rd efforts for sure
shudnt have the red one, looks too muck like that rangers shirt from this season.
ReplyDeleteRangers have played some years ago with red socks and they look just like Scotland national kit :)
ReplyDeletesimply the best kit every one should buy it if it comes oot
ReplyDeleteGET RID OF THE RED MAN !!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU MAD, WE'RE NOT ENGLAND, ARE YOU BARKING !!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat Will Go Down Like a lead balloon with the majority of the Tartan Amry, I should imagine!
Nevertheless, the cut/design of the kit is very nice! BUT NO RED !!!!
I clearly said that the red is a re-edition of the 1980-85 kits. Sorry I cannot change the history. And you have red lion on the crest, the socks are red, so I realy don't see the red colour kit so weard, and in combination with blue short and blue socks does not realy alike with England's away kit.
ReplyDeleteInteresting music you play Leodhas. Keep on!
ReplyDeleteLeodhas,
ReplyDeleteEngland play in white, not red you 'tard. I don't know where you get this idea that the 'Tartan Army' will hate it from. You seem to be yet another self appointed spokesman for the Scotland support. Well you certainly don't speak for me.
Em!!!!! what colour is England's away kit you tard, and what colour did England win the World Cup in.
ReplyDeleteYou'd sell more if you did the third strip in yellow, Like Brazil. Reds ok in detail but as the main coulor its just a bit over powering on the eye. An looks very Red White and Blue ;)
ReplyDeleteThis argue could go on and on and on. The white shirt, blue short is more alike the Englands home kit than red shirt and blue short with Englands away :)
ReplyDeleteIt would help if the SFA actually had official away/change colours!
ReplyDeletePerhaps in future or even with these new kits a yellow shirt with red shorts, representing the colours on the SFA badge & the Scottish Lion Rampant carried by Scotland fans, might be more appropriate.
anonymous.....I like all of these ideas....hopefully Adidas are following this and will give Zoran a job in their design department...and I really don't care what colour England play in, a Scotland strip is a Scotland Strip..and the use of 'tard is ..to say the least ...not appropriate
ReplyDeleteGood designs. I reckon, for the Home Kit we should go for navy top with white trim, white shorts and navy trim red shorts and whitw trim. The trim would be the famous adidas three stripes. I'd go further and say that we should have three sets kit made - all navy (white trim); all white (navy trim) and all red (white trim) - these could be mixed up, depending on who We are playing. i.e. we could have navy top with white shorts and socks, white top with red shorts and socks, red top with navy shorts and socks and any other combinations in between. The GK kit when playing with traditional home kit, should be an all yellow job with lyon rampant red trim; the GK should wear all black with white or yellow trim. Put simply, the kit should be classic Scottish national kit colours. I'm fed up with manufacturers experimenting with our kit - it's dead simple, use navy, white and red for the outfield players and yellow and black for the GK!
ReplyDeletei think the cross in the middle should be white the badge in the middle but they ones are good too
ReplyDeleteWhy does the colour red have to be included ? The Scottish colours are blue and white. Not red, white and blue !
ReplyDeleteI would buy the second home one if the socks had white & not red
ReplyDeletea wee bit too much like france, but good effort. 3rd kit should be ROSE again! :L
ReplyDeletesuperb ideas on all three, but you just know those twats at the SFA are gonnae make a total hole of it, why bother ?
ReplyDeletei have never been more excited about ascotland kit launch before - cant wait- your designs are awesome by the way
ReplyDeleteI agree, national kits must look more sober and stylish than club teams kits.
ReplyDeletethe thinking behind the current england kit was inspired by Savile row tailoring,
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/fashion/features/capello-calls-up-savile-row-1645362.html
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT2aL-52HLE
tailored navy blue shirt, white collar, embroidered lion rampant. Done!
the current sfa badge is to fussy, all you need is the lion rampant.
ReplyDeletean embossed badge is a must, stick it on any one of those three designs and you have a classic,we can at least look good as we are getting pumped fae Spaln and the czechs,as for any suggestions as to a yellow kit please, please, stop.. this must never be allowed looks good on a native of central europe but not on the pasty faced frames of the current squad.. fingers crossed the kraut designers at adidas are logging into this page and ripping of the designer big style... sorry m8 somebody should tip them off.. they would make millions of lovely euros on any one of your designs.
ReplyDeleteThe current badge has cheapened the last few tops...absolutely terrible design, especially when the classic badge of the 70s and early 80s was so iconic, and an integral part of the national team kit..
ReplyDeletebring back the badge!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteretro-strip, there should be no design involved, just recreate the standard formula………bring back the badge!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletelooks a bit 1980s :/
ReplyDeletehuura tiddy
ReplyDelete:)
looks good but i would like the round badge and adidas originals logo. if we play shite we will still look cool!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewhat the F""K is that new scotland kit all about it's P""h, and to make matters worse the diddies that are currently running our game into the ground yes the SFA invited Herman Munster's love child the one and only Darren Fletcher to model it,F""k me gently, is there no end to this pain.
ReplyDeletethe three tops are well good and are so much better than the one thats just hit the shops hoply in future they will be for sale shortly with the old retro badge
ReplyDeleteVery nice selection of sportswear!

Nothing compared to 70s'-80s' Umbro kits...they were so great...Adidas kit looks so poor...
